Slow Food NYC—The largest U.S. chapter of Slow Food, working for a good, clean and fair food system for all New Yorkers [currently a communications volunteer, I served on the board from 2010-2021 and have worked on development and public events]

Chefs for the Marcellus—Food & beverage professionals including Mario Batali, Bill Telepan, Mary Cleaver, Peter Hoffman, and more mobilized on the campaign to fight fracking and fracked gas infrastructure and support renewable energy initiatives in New York State, 2011-2014

In August 2016 I took on the Twitter account for Wise Women for Clinton in support of Hillary Clinton's campaign. In the summer of 2014 I accepted my first assignment as digital campaign director (for a mayoral candidate in Winchester Conn.). I was part of the 2012 Organizing for America (OFA) Twitter team, and the 2008 MoveOn.org Tech Support team. And I was an early community and network member of Civic Hall (founded in 2015), as well as a longtime member (the 212th!) of the almost 60K strong New York Tech Meetup.
